Melanie Burns

Melanie is a 500 Hour Certified Baptiste Teacher who owns and operates the Snow Squall Bed and Breakfast and Wicked Good Yoga in Wiscasset Maine, and runs Yoga Alliance Approved 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings and 40 Days programs in her studio. She has a BA in Psychology from Clark University and is a graduate of Tom Myers’s highly acclaimed Kinesis Myofascial Integration (KMI) program. Melanie offers structural integration sessions and leads workshops in yoga and myofascial release, combining her strong background in psychology and anatomy to bring awareness and awaken healing in long held patterns of physical, mental, and emotional tension and trauma, to lead people to experience more freedom to feel more of themselves in the space they are in. 

Ericka Fairfield

Ericka is a Maine native deeply rooted in the full expression of a healthy, vibant life, with a rich career including time a licensed Maine whitewater rafting guide, professional trail worker for the Appalachian Mountain Club in NH, traveling across the globe, African dance, running, Pilates, cycling, competing in triathlons, two treks across Maine on her road bike, and a career in Nursing. This rich path and her deep love for a physical and spiritual connection lead her naturally to yoga.

Ericka has been practicing yoga for over ten years, trying many different styles. When Ericka found Baptiste yoga at Wicked Good Yoga studio in Maine she found she deepened not only her physical connection with vinyasa and practice, but her spiritual connection with herself and others through meditation and self-reflection. Her connection continues to grow and strengthen in her own practice independently and by the support of the yoga community here in Maine. Immediately she wanted to share this new physical and spiritual connection with everyone! Ericka will complete her 200 hour Yoga Alliance approved yoga teacher training throughWGY in February of 2014. Come and experience her love and connection in a yoga class that will inspire you to live out loud from your nose to your toes!

Bobbi Jo Barden

Bobbi jo was looking for a new type of exercise when she took her first yoga class five years ago at Hot Yoga Nashville. She was surprised by her love for the stillness it began to provide in her life, as well as the physical challenge. She has since moved to Maine where she now has a consistent Vinyasa practice and will have her Yoga Alliance approved 200 hour teaching certification through Wicked Good Yoga in February 2014. The community of students and teachers at WGY continues to inspire her to grow both spiritually and physically. Her classes offer a powerful sequence with focus on breath awareness in order to cultivate greater self acceptance.

Philip Payson

Phil credits yoga with saving his life. He no longer is laid up for days and weeks at a time with back problems, and as a cancer survivor, he is now disease free and enjoying the fruits of a regular practice. Phil has completed the Baptiste Level One and Level Two teacher training and the Assistants Training Program. Phil is also trained in Integrated Breathwork and Therapeutic Breathwork, and includes vision fasts, time in nature, regular meditation, and silent meditation retreats in his spiritual practices. Phil’s teaching focuses on one’s own direct felt experience, noting that radical acceptance of what is true in this moment leads to limitless gratitude.

All Hot Power Yoga classes are ALL LEVELS and accessible to everyone. You will leave feeling rinsed and renewed with a new sense of clarity and purpose.
